Lincoln Park Elementary has been designated as a priority school and has been awarded a School Improvement Grant to increase reading and math achievement. The grant has been used to hire classroom size reduction teachers, part-time hourly teachers, a full-time social worker and nurse, and academic materials for students. Partnerships have been established with Community Development for All People, Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Barack Recreation Center to provide extended learning opportunities for students.

Through hard work and intensive instruction, preliminary results show significant gains in reading and math achievement earning the school a Continuous Improvement rating on the school report card. The highly qualified and dedicated staff is committed to ensuring continued growth in reading and math.

The Common Core standards have been fully implemented in core academic subjects. Formative assessments inform instruction and enable students to track their individual progress toward meeting achievement goals in reading and math.
Site Based Council
Our Site Based Council has been instrumental in supporting the continued gains in reading and math achievement at Lincoln Park Elementary.  The collaborative efforts of the SBC members including Mark Stansbery, Director of the Barack Recreation Center, and Darlene Schied, CD4AP Youth Development Director, have resulted in high quality after school academic and recreational opportunities for our students.
